Head to Kraków’s main railway station with the intention of going anywhere near Silesia, and you may be disappointed – especially at the weekend.
For, of those train services which make the three-hour plus journey – which is perfectly possible by bicycle in the same time – many have been replaced by overcrowded buses. Passengers can choose to book ahead on one of the excellent minibus routes and thereby guarantee a place, but now there’s another option.
Polbus has this week launched a new route, connecting Kraków with Wrocław. The night service is a cheap line that also takes in Tarnow, Mielec, Stalowa Wola, Baranow Sandomierski and Tarnobrzeg.
Tickets are available at the bus station, or you can make a reservation online by visiting the Polbus website – at polbus.pl – where there is also detailed timetable information.
Finally we have Polbus connecting Kraków with Wrocław.
